Some customers have received
scam emails asking them to verify their account
details. These emails contain links to fake
websites that look similar to Citibank websites.
These email scams known as "Phishing"
are designed to trick customers into entering
their confidential banking information.
How to protect yourself
Citibank will never
send emails to customers to verify confidential,
personal or account information. Therefore,
do not reply to emails that request
such information.
Delete all emails received
of this nature, even if they appear
to have come from Citibank.
If you suspect you've
been sent a fradulent email, contact
your local Citibank customer service
officer immediately or send a secure
mail once you have signed on to Internet
Banking.
If you believe that someone
is trying to commit fraud by pretending
to be a Citigroup business, please contact
your local Citibank customer service
officer immediately.
Only sign on to Citibank Internet
Banking by typing the entire Citibank website
address into your browser. Never sign on to
Internet Banking via a link from an email.
For example, Singapore customers should type
in "http://www.citibank.com.sg"
into the browser address field before signing
on to Internet Banking.
